Choosing the right bed
Start with the room, not the bed. Measure the wall you want the headboard against and leave at least 60–75 cm of walking space on the sides you use daily. In most Lucknow apartments a queen (5×6.5 ft) leaves that room comfortably; a king (6×6.5 ft) suits master bedrooms of about 12×12 ft and above.
Storage is the next decision. Hydraulic lift-up storage swallows an entire season's bedding and works well when the bed sits away from a wall. Drawer storage is easier to reach daily and is the better choice for children's rooms. If you keep the space under the bed clear, a simple platform frame will always look lighter in a small room.
For finishes, a matte PU polish over solid wood shows the grain and can be re-buffed years later, while fabric and leatherette headboards soften a room and are kinder to lean against while reading. We prepare samples of both before any bed goes into production.
